Play Therapy Parenting Podcast

The path to calm, confident, and in-control parenting starts now

Nov 11, 2022

It might seem backwards to think that kids treat the people the worst, that love and accept them the most. However, most times this is true of our kids. It shouldn't surprise you that your kids, to various degrees, "keep it together" during the day, and then when they get home to you, they lose it. This is normal and expected behavior, and when you understand the "why" behind it, you'll have a whole new perspective on your kid's behavior. In this episode, I dive into the following topics:
  • Unconditional love and acceptance
  • "Be a thermostat, not a thermometer"
  • Behavior reflection and their internal state
